Greenwing Macaw

Part of the Safari Series, “Greenwing Macaw” was exhibited at MAHEC in Asheville, NC in 2016, and was relinquished to its private owner shortly afterward.  This piece also illustrates the endangered nature of most of our world’s parrots, along with its greatest threat reflected in its eyes: Habitat destruction. A single canopy-level tree is reflected there, absent the surrounding rainforest that provides food, shelter and nesting sites for these colorful, intelligent and emotional birds.

  1. Your artistic talent has really developed over the years! The layers and depth of the full imagery, past just the masterful strokes on canvas, that lends the “behind the painting” story increases appeal and interest. Excellent marketing of your talents!
