Blue-throated macaws are critically endangered parrots, suffering from loss of habitat and poaching. The Blues Foundation runs a charity auction yearly, and a few years ago I auctioned this off to benefit their foundation. It raised almost $250 for their organization.
These blue-throated macaws are painted in acrylic paint on a naturally shed blue and gold macaw feather, framed in floating glass, and are in a private collection.
