My nephew Andrew is a patriotic fellow. Born in Texas, Andrew grew up in Iowa with a deep sense of loyalty to both states. For his graduation gift, I painted this essential “Andrew” in digital oils. From the purple mountains in the back to the amber grain in the front, his passion for his homelands came through in the composition.
