The Winecups

Imagine yourself laying in a field of Texas wildflowers, the blooms waving in the breeze over your face as you gaze into the sky above. Winecups – those red wine-colored delicate blooms – were a favored wildflower of my loving, affectionate longtime friend Colleen. When she passed unexpectedly earlier this year, I put all of my love for her into this piece. She often mentioned how much she loved the idea of laying in a field of wildflowers, and I could just see her joyous spirit loving this view.
